1. Get Upgraded Tires

Without a doubt, getting upgraded off road tires is an absolute must if your tires are old or not up to off-roading activities. When shopping for the best tires, look for ones that can enrich your ride without being too expensive. With Jeep tires, in particular, there are hundreds of high-performance brands to choose from.

Other than your vehicle’s tires, you should also think about the rest of the exterior of your off-roading vehicle. 3. Buy High-Quality Gear

A plan B is never a bad idea in the event of unexpected trail closures or poor conditions.  

4. Approach Water With Caution

With that said, it does not matter how high-quality your gear is if the water you drive through is too deep for your vehicle to handle. When you are off-roading with your new 33 inch tires, you may feel invincible when you arrive at a river or large puddle of standing water, but it is always better to approach the water with caution and to test the depth before proceeding. After all, there is nothing stylish about idling stuck in the mud.

5. Look for a Solid Lift Kit

When it comes to off-roading, ground clearance is critical. In general, you want to have the most room possible under the vehicle without having to sacrifice balance. As such, you should look for a solid lift kit that can keep your vehicle above all of the surfaces you plan to drive over. Without a good lift kit, you risk damaging the underpart of your off-roading vehicle. 

6. Do Not Avoid Maintenance

How often do you take your off-roading vehicle in for regular maintenance tune-ups? Another tip to keep off-roading in style is to never avoid maintenance on your vehicle. While some upgrades may be nice because they make certain improvements to your vehicle’s capabilities or appearance, others are absolutely essential. For example, tire and engine maintenance is crucial for both safety and reliability purposes.

Depending on the time of year you are traveling you might need to wear warmer clothes but one thing to always keep in mind is layers. If you get too warm remove a layer, if it gets chilly; add on your long sleeve, sweater, or jacket.
